Temporarily detained 2 subjects using fake documents of agencies and organizations
The Investigation Police Agency has initiated a case, prosecuted the accused and issued an arrest warrant for Nguyen Duc Thang and Tran Kieu Hung for the act of "Using fake documents of agencies and organizations".
According to the initial investigation of the authorities, a few days ago, Nguyen Duc Thang (born in 1970, temporarily residing in Phu Nhuan district, Ho Chi Minh City) and Tran Kieu Hung (born in 1972, residing in Ho Chi Minh City) came to Ca Mau province, introduced themselves as people from the "Prime Minister's Office Economic Management Department" and promised to help the individuals they met.
With these attractive self-introductions, the above subjects were welcomed by many people as honored guests. At the police station, Nguyen Duc Thang also declared himself to be an American Vietnamese. Notably, accompanying Thang was Tran Kieu Hung, who was sentenced to 2 years in prison by the People's Court of Ba Ria City in September 2016 for the crime of "Forging seals and documents of agencies and organizations".

Specifically, on April 19, 2016, the Traffic Police of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province discovered that the car with license plate 51F - 519.25 driven by Le Minh Tai was speeding on National Highway 51, so they signaled the car to stop for inspection. At this time, Hung got out of the car and presented a warrant with the name of Tran Kieu Hung as "Deputy Director of the Government Economic Management Department and Special Envoy of the Prime Minister". Suspecting Hung's identity, the working group took him to the headquarters to work. At the police station, Hung confessed to buying the warrant from a person of unknown origin to deal with the Traffic Police. Afterwards, Hung was arrested by the Investigation Police Department of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province.
On May 31, 2016, the Government Office issued an official dispatch confirming: The Government Office does not have anyone named Tran Kieu Hung, and does not issue official orders to the person with the above name. According to the investigation agency's request for appraisal, the signatures and seals were created on the documents using color inkjet printing. At the investigation agency, Hung stated that he dropped out of school after finishing 9th grade.
