Husband of singer Doan Di Bang arrested.
The police in Dong Nai province have arrested and detained Nguyen Quoc Vu – the husband of singer Doan Di Bang – along with two accomplices for their involvement in a ring producing and selling counterfeit sunscreen.
On November 5th, the Dong Nai Provincial Police announced that they had issued arrest warrants and search warrants for three suspects: Dinh Van Lien (born in 1981, residing in Long Binh ward), Nguyen Thi Tuyen (born in 1982, residing in Tam Hiep ward), and Nguyen Quoc Vu (born in 1978, residing in Tan Thuan ward, Ho Chi Minh City) to investigate the crime of "Manufacturing and trading counterfeit goods.This incident occurred at EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company.
These decisions have been approved by the People's Procuratorate at the same level.

According to initial investigations, EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company (located in Giang Dien Industrial Park, Dong Nai province), where Lien holds the position of Deputy General Director but is actually the owner, collaborated with VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited (headquartered on Nguyen Trai Street, Ho Chi Minh City), where Vu - the husband of singer Doan Di Bang - is the General Director, to produce Hanayuki Sunscreen Body cream.
From January 2025, Lien directed the production and sale of 1,652 counterfeit Hanayuki Sunscreen Body products. The forensic examination by the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Criminal Science concluded that the product's SPF rating was only 25.82, equivalent to 51.64% of the SPF rating stated on the packaging (SPF 50).
Furthermore, Tuyen, the Deputy General Director of the company, was involved in the production of 1,652 counterfeit Hanayuki Sunscreen Body products. Meanwhile, Vu was involved in the sale of these counterfeit Hanayuki Sunscreen Body products.

The investigating agency determined that the actions of the three defendants constituted the crime of "Producing and trading counterfeit goods."
Through questioning, the suspects initially confessed to their crimes. During the search of the scene, police seized numerous machines, documents, and equipment related to the production and distribution of counterfeit products in connection with the case.
