Father arrested for letting 3 children drink pesticide to commit suicide

Regarding the "Father suspected of giving 3 children milk mixed with pesticides and then committing suicide", on January 12, Hau Giang Provincial Police announced that the provincial police investigation agency has decided to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and temporarily detain Luong Hong Son (39 years old) for 4 months.

According to initial investigation results, recently Son and his wife, Nguyen Thi Kim Lien (29 years old), often had conflicts.

The reason is that Ms. Lien went to work far away in Ho Chi Minh City, leaving her 4 children at home for Son to take care of, but Son did not agree to let his wife go to work.

A fierce conflict broke out on January 8 when Son discovered that his wife had returned to her hometown and brought her eldest daughter (13 years old) with her. Son called Lien to tell her to bring the child back, but she was unsuccessful.

According to Son's statement, during the argument, Lien said she would continue to take the remaining 3 children with her. Because she was angry with his wife,Son had the idea of ​​dying with his three children in the countryside, so he went to the market to buy pesticide and cereal powder and mixed them for his children to drink. Then, Son also drank them.

At around 8:30 p.m. the same day, Son's mother, who was living next door, heard cries and ran over to find her son and three grandchildren writhing and crying, so she called for help to take them to the emergency room.

After receiving intensive treatment at Can Tho Children's Hospital, the health of Son's three children, LNTA (10 years old), LNQT (7 years old) and LNTN (5 years old), has improved.good progress, continuing treatment at hospital.

After receiving emergency care and treatment, the suspect Luong Hong Son has recovered. The case is currently under further investigation.
