On July 28, a source from Tinh Gia District Police in Thanh Hoa Province said that the police agency had decided to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and temporarily detain Nguyen Van Bon (29 years old, residing in Ngoc Linh Commune, Tinh Gia District) for intentionally causing injury.

According to initial investigation, Nguyen Van Bon and Ms. Tran Thi Vui (28 years old) got married at the end of 2016 and have no children together.

Recently, Bon and his wife often had conflicts and arguments, causing Vui to return to her parents' house in Thuong Xuan district (Thanh Hoa) to live.

Vui told her parents about her husband and wife's frequent conflicts and arguments. On the afternoon of July 6, Vui's father took her to Bon's house to discuss their divorce. Bon agreed to break up with Vui but demanded that his wife return the money and gold they had when they got married.

While Ms. Vui went into the room to get her belongings to take back to her parents' house, Bon took a kettle of boiling water and poured it on his wife's neck and back, causing burns.

Ms. Vui was taken by her family to Thanh Hoa General Hospital for emergency treatment with severe burns over a large area of ​​her chest, back, and neck.

According to the results of the examination by the authorities, after her husband poured boiling water on her, Ms. Vui suffered 21% health damage.
