Detained driver who drank beer and hit 8 people, injuring them
Regarding the case of a drunk driver hitting a series of motorbikes at a gas station on Lang Street (Hanoi) injuring 8 people, the police have prosecuted and temporarily detained driver Ngo Cong Han.
Dong Da District Police (Hanoi) said that the unit has issued a decision to prosecute and temporarily detain driver Ngo Cong Han (born in 1987), residing in Cu Khe, Thanh Oai (Hanoi) for 3 months to investigate the crime of violating regulations on participating in road traffic.
Currently, the police are continuing to consolidate the records, based on the injury rate as well as the specific damage caused by this driver in the accident to handle it according to the provisions of the law.

Previously, on August 13, Dong Da District Police also decided to prosecute the case and temporarily detain driver Ngo Cong Han.
On the evening of August 12, driver Han was driving a car with license plate 30H-758.03 on Lang Road to Nga Tu So (Dong Da District). When moving to the area of gas station number 111 Lang Road (Thinh Quang Ward, Dong Da District), the car suddenly accelerated and crashed straight into the gas station where many people were standing. The collision injured 8 people.
Working with Dong Da District Police, driver Ngo Cong Han admitted that he drank too much with friends at a birthday party, leading to him losing control of his speed and causing an accident...
Initial investigation showed that the driver's breath contained a high level of alcohol, measured at 0.917 mg/l and 0.939 mg/l. This is a very high level, exceeding the maximum violation level by 2.25 times as prescribed in Decree 100/ND-CP (the current maximum penalty level for violations is over 0.4 mg/l of breath).
