18-year-old man arrested for stabbing his father and uncle to death

On May 5, the An Giang Provincial Police Department announced that they were detaining Lam Hoai An (18 years old, residing in Oc Eo town, Thoai Son district) to investigate the act of "Murder".

Lam Hoai An is the suspect who used a knife to stab to death his father (Mr. Lam Hoang Sang, 43 years old) and uncle (Mr. Lam Viet Tien, 40 years old).

According to initial investigation, at around 3:00 p.m. on May 3, Mr. Lam Hoang Sang, his two younger brothers Lam Viet Tien and Lam Thanh Toan (36 years old) and a friend organized a drinking party at home.

At around 10pm the same day, suspect An came home from drinking coffee and had a conflict and fight with his father and uncle.

After the fight, An left. Later, the young man and his friends returned to where his father and uncle were drinking.

When he arrived, An saw Mr. Sang and Mr. Tien standing on the street holding weapons. At that moment, An took a pig-stabbing knife and ran to stab his uncle, killing him on the spot.

Then, An turned around and stabbed his father in the arm, causing the victim to fall. Suspect An continued to chase and kill the people who were drinking with his father and uncle with a knife.

When people snatched the knife, An and his friends ran away from the scene. Mr. Sang was taken to the emergency room but died later.

Upon receiving the report, An Giang Provincial Police pursued the suspect. By using professional measures, at around 7am on May 4, the police arrested An while he was hiding in Ha Tien City, Kien Giang Province.

At the police station, An initially admitted all his crimes.

The police have invited the friends of suspect An to work and are consolidating the case file to handle these subjects.
