Authorities busted a firecracker trafficking operation.

(Baonghean.vn) - After nearly two months of investigation, at 8:30 PM on January 16, 2014, in Tien Phong hamlet, Nghi Yen commune, Nghi Loc district, the Anti-Drug Crime Force of the Provincial Border Guard, in coordination with the Cua Lo - Ben Thuy Port Border Guard Station, caught a suspect red-handed while transporting firecrackers for sale.

The arrested individual is Cao Duy Thang, born on November 22, 1995, residing in Hamlet 13, Dien An Commune, Dien Chau District. He was transporting firecrackers for sale. The seized items included 8 kg of firecrackers bearing the Chinese brand name (the "Ong Su" type).

In initial questioning, Thang confessed that he obtained the firecrackers from Quynh Luu district and was transporting them for sale when he was apprehended by the Nghe An Border Guard.
