Arrested for smuggling 12,000 synthetic drug pills into Vietnam
The Border Guard of Quang Binh province has just coordinated with the Security Department of Khammouane province (Laos) to stop and arrest 3 people transporting a large quantity of drugs into Vietnam.
On September 4, the Border Guard Command of Quang Binh province coordinated with the Security Department of Khammouane province (Laos) to continue investigating a group of 5 Lao nationals who were part of a ring transporting 12,000 drug pills to Vietnam.

At around 11:00 a.m. on September 1, the Quang Binh border anti-drug force and the authorities of neighboring countries conducted an ambush and arrested 3 people transporting a large quantity of drugs.
This group includes: Son But Ta Lat (28 years old, residing in Ma Ha Xay district), Phon Ang Tha Lang Si (31 years old, residing in Bua la Pha district) and Nang Mi Xay Nha Lat (female, 22 years old, residing in Ma Ha Xay district, Khammouane province) were arrested with evidence of 12,000 synthetic drug pills at Lang Khang economic zone, about 16 km from Cha Lo border gate.
The group of 3 people confessed that they intended to trade and sell the above drugs to bring them into Vietnam for consumption.
By the morning of September 4, through the statements of the three people above, the investigation forces of the two countries arrested two more suspects in the ring: Bun Thon Xuong Moi Ni (45 years old, in Khun Tham district) and Lin Xay Nha Xeng (48 years old, in Hin Bun district, Kham Muon province).
Quang Binh Border Guard has taken statements, detained all 5 people and the evidence to complete the case file before handing it over to the competent authorities of the neighboring country for handling according to the law.
