Caught transporting 200kg of cat meat of unknown origin

(Baonghean.vn) - At 11pm on March 26, Dien Chau Traffic Police Station arrested a case of transporting 200 kg of cat meat of unknown origin.

Officers of Dien Chau District Veterinary Station checked the cats after they were handed over.

While on patrol, Dien Chau Traffic Police Station inspected passenger car with license plate 17B - 012.30 driven by Mr. Truong Van Thuy (born in 1983), residing in Tien Hai district - Thai Binh province.

Upon inspection, it was discovered that the vehicle was carrying 2 Styrofoam boxes containing 200kg of cat meat that smelled bad and had no quarantine certificate and unknown origin.

The driver admitted to transporting the cat meat from Vung Tau to Thai Binh for a customer.

Dien Chau Traffic Police Station has handed over the seized cat meat to the District Veterinary Station for handling according to the law./.
