Arrested for transporting 41,000 synthetic drug pills

Six suspects were transporting more than 41,000 synthetic drug pills, 12 heroin cakes and many other types of drugs on their way from Son La to Ha Nam when they were arrested by the police.

On the evening of March 30, information from the Ha Nam Provincial Police said that the provincial police's special task force, in coordination with the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Ministry of Public Security, had successfully broken up a drug trafficking ring with a large quantity.

Specifically, on March 29, on National Highway 1A, through Thanh Ha commune, Thanh Liem district, Ha Nam province, the task force arrested 6 suspects transporting drugs.

Searching the suspects' car, the police seized more than 41,000 synthetic drug pills, 12 heroin cakes, 4 ketamine packages and 8 packages of crystal meth.

According to information from the investigation team, the suspects transported these drugs from Son La to Ha Nam for consumption.

The suspects in the drug trafficking ring operate in a very sophisticated and daring manner. Whenever transporting drugs, the suspects often carry guns and ammunition to be ready to fight back when arrested.

Ha Nam Province Police said that in addition to the "huge" amount of drugs above, when searching the car of the 6 suspects, the police also seized 1 sports gun and 15 pellets.

On the afternoon of March 30, the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of Ha Nam province organized an extraordinary commendation ceremony, awarding 100 million VND to the forces participating in solving the case, and presenting certificates of merit to 8 groups and 3 individuals with outstanding achievements in drug prevention and control.
