(Baonghean.vn) -While patrolling traffic on the National Highway, the Traffic Police team discovered a suspicious car and signaled it to stop for inspection, but the driver fled. After driving about 10 km, the car was caught along with many weapons.
At 2:00 p.m. on August 27, the Traffic Police Team of Dien Chau Traffic Police Station under PC67 Nghe An, consisting of 4 officers and soldiers led by Major Cao Dang Hung, was conducting traffic control on National Highway 1A at km 411 in Dien Truong Commune, Dien Chau when they discovered a 4-seat car with license plate 37A 07402 traveling in the direction of Hanoi - Vinh with many suspicious signs. Immediately, the team signaled to stop the car.
Not only did the car not obey the order, but on the contrary, it sped away at a terrifying speed. Unable to let the reckless subject escape, Major Hung quickly consulted with his comrades and overtook the fleeing car. Arriving at the Yen Ly intersection, where National Highway 1A and National Highway 48 intersect, the subject in the car intended to make a sudden turn to escape, but at that moment the traffic police car also overtook him, so the car suddenly turned left and rushed over the bridge to turn onto the Yen-My inter-commune road.
After driving about 3 km further, when the traffic police had closed the siege, the car suddenly stopped at My Quan village, Dien Yen commune, one person in the car rushed into the residential area. The traffic police team rushed in and arrested the two subjects in car 37A 07402 and checked and discovered nearly 20 fake car license plates from different provinces, including blue license plates and a 1.5 meter long knife, a 1.5 meter long axe, 2 border guard officer's kepi hats, 2 military officer's uniforms with lieutenant and captain ranks, along with a large chain, warning lights, and priority siren.
Driver Cuong and the car fled with the weapon and evidence in the car.
Initial investigation at the Dien Chau Traffic Police Station revealed that Phan Dinh Cuong (born in 1994, residing in Chau Hong Commune, Quy Hop District, Nghe An) was a hired driver, and the second suspect was Dinh Van (born in 1974, residing in Hamlet 9, Dien My Commune, Dien Chau District, Nghe An) a hitchhiker, while the car owner had fled. Neither of them knew the car owner's background. Driver Cuong also said that the car had been rented by someone in Vinh City the previous afternoon.
