(Baonghean.vn) - A passenger bus transporting more than 500 kg of smelly silkworm pupae was arrested by the 1-48 Traffic Police.

Major Nguyen Ham Thang - Captain of Traffic Police Team 1-48, Traffic Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police) said that the incident was discovered by the team's working group at 6:15 a.m. on September 15, at km 26, National Highway 48 in Dong Hieu Commune, Thai Hoa Town.

Accordingly, at the above time, through checking the passenger car with license plate 49B-006.66 driven by Truong Quang Thien (born in 1980, Ninh Hiep commune, Ninh Hoa district, Khanh Hoa), the working group discovered that the car was carrying 12 foam boxes containing silkworm pupae that were in the process of decomposing, emitting a foul odor, of unknown origin, with a total weight of 500 kg.

The working group (Traffic Police Team 1-48) has drawn up a record of the sale and seizure of the above shipment for handling according to the provisions of law.
