Trap
(Baonghean.vn) - No one can remember how many big and small traps they have overcome in their life. Every time a wise person gets out of a trap, he successfully escapes from a failure. A wise person knows how to swallow the lesson to dilute stupidity.
So spectacular! It is difficult to call it a beautiful goal but it was clearly a exemplary offside trap-breaking move, a smart pass and then a brave breakthrough straight into the middle to tear the net of the "visiting team" in a situation where the experienced defense of the opponent could not react in time! The case of Vinh Phuc provincial police catching the Ministry of Construction inspection team red-handed accepting bribes right at the government headquarters is being enthusiastically discussed by netizens as a classic goal in football, even honored as a glorious feat that makes the people happy. Hundreds of different ways to express emotions but the same mood is... so cool!
On the personal page of a famous Facebooker, he humorously "borrowed the lyrics" of the song "When I Was Young":
When we were kids we played together
We play shooting games
Play police arrest inspector
He raised the gun straight to his heart.
Bang Bang…
“The police went to catch the traitors” of course, the bitterness was in the arrest of… the inspector! The silent applause spread along the keyboard. The gloating over this terrible incident was, after all, just a temporary emotion that arose to “pay back” for the previous repression. The pain was deep and endless. Who could have thought that a ministerial-level inspection team would knock themselves out so quickly and miserably. It was not only a case with a long-standing negative behavior complex, but more importantly, the boldness, decisiveness and accuracy of the police agency in “catching them red-handed”, revealing a much more terrifying truth behind! The timeless question “Why have we inspected so many cases but still not uncovered any wrongdoing?” was clearly explained but at the height of cruelty. Yet, while the matter was still hot as coal, someone had an itchy rash around their mouth to make a comment like this inspection team was caught in a “trap”. It was still the same old trick to distort the truth. The intention was to turn the perpetrator into the victim to salvage a little bit of honor and beg for mercy with the exact word - trap! Shameless and very... shameless! Looking back at the adultery cases in recent times, perhaps out of ten cases of officials caught red-handed bringing their “lovers” to hotels, nine and a half of the “victims” screamed loudly in front of the microphone that they were trapped! And this time, when the inspection team of the Ministry of Construction was caught red-handed in broad daylight, so naked that it was obvious for two years, somewhere there was still someone hiding behind a banana bush, sticking out his tongue and saying “trap”! Sorry, trap my ass, that’s wrong!
No one can remember how many big and small traps they have overcome in their life. A wise person, each time he gets out of a trap, successfully escapes from a failure. A wise person knows how to swallow the lesson to dilute his foolishness. "Who should be wise but not foolish at some point?" However, when he grows up and represents the people in holding important social responsibilities, foolishness must be included in the list of stories told about the past. Being an official and falling into traps all the time may be a sign of mental retardation!
The fight against corruption is getting more unpredictable as it goes deeper into the “woody areas”. One of the “tricks” that the subjects often use to scare and deceive the public is to blame it on traps. Whenever there is a “story”, they immediately spread the question “Who is beating who?” “Which side is destroying which side?” and the direct cause is called a trap! This trick of throwing chili powder is old but extremely insidious and quite effective. Many gullible people are caught up in the thrilling behind-the-scenes stories and then forget who is the victim and who is the culprit. Along the events, we encounter many mournful but also childish laments. The story of a young cadre who violated the ethics of life to the point of having to be disciplined is littered with hired cries like “Oh my god, my father is dead, now I am being trapped and beaten to a pulp”. Obviously, he himself could not overcome the temptation of beauty. No one trapped him, he trapped himself. Returning to the case of the Ministry of Construction Inspectorate that was just prosecuted, according to the person who directly "injected" the money, the Head of the Ministry of Construction Inspectorate specifically suggested that "there should be gifts and money for the delegation to orient". Another commune leader told the press, "The inspection delegation said that for the construction part, 1.5% must be paid, and the supervision consultant must pay 5% of the recovered amount". Oh, so who else said it was a trap? Who trapped whom? Using money to trap power or using power to trap money?
Let me cite two stories that seem very related. In 2017, an inspection team led by the deputy director of the Department of Environmental Control of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment was performing an inspection mission in Long An when he suddenly reported that nearly 400 million VND had been stolen from a hotel. When the public questioned the origin of the money, he explained that it was his wife's money! There is an interesting coincidence that when the office of the female chief inspector in Vinh Phuc was searched, nearly 400 million VND was also found in the cabinet.
The second story is that in recent days, the press has reported that a business in Ho Chi Minh City (Phi Long Urban Development Company) was indignant because it was inspected 138 times. After receiving the call for help, the city inspectors came to work, bringing the total number of inspections to 139! Among them were some very theatrical ones, such as the inspection of “chasing mosquitoes from one project to another”… Oh, who can hold back their laughter? 138 inspections for a business and nearly 400 million VND of idle money hidden in the inspection team’s cabinet. Please, God, these two numbers are not related to each other.
There was a woman in my place who, after hiring a maid, deliberately left the safe open to see if the maid had any stealing habits to warn her from the beginning. Of course, she only used a little money to satisfy her, but put her valuable jewelry in the lower compartment and locked it carefully. The first day was safe, the second day was still safe, the third day was still safe, and the 100th day was still the same. The 7 200,000 VND bills were still safely inside the upper compartment of the safe. She was both happy to have met an honest person and a little guilty for being suspicious. A few years later, the maid went back to her hometown to get married, and the 7 "bait" bills were still lying there peacefully, the only difference was that when she took the 2 rings and 3 necklaces to the shop to be polished, she realized that they had long since turned into fake gold! Oh my, those 7 200 VND bills were a trap she had set for herself! How bitter! Everyone laughed at her, “You’re so stupid, why are you hanging fat on a cat’s head!” She angrily shouted, “But it’s not a cat, it’s not an animal, it’s a human.” The other side retorted, “If we’re humans, why are we trapping each other?”
Yeah, we are humans so why do we trap each other?
