Bayern drop points for first time in Bundesliga
Taking the lead but letting Cologne equalize 1-1, Carlo Ancelotti's team's winning streak in the Bundesliga ended.
The disappointing home draw came on the heels of Bayern's Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid. With 16 points from six games, the Bavarians head into the break, which will give way to the 2018 World Cup qualifiers, top of the Bundesliga table. But they are in danger of being closed down by the teams behind them.

Cologne have continued to make an unexpectedly good start to the season. After six rounds, they have won three and drawn three, with 12 points and are currently in fourth place.
Bayern's opening goal came in the 40th minute, courtesy of Joshua Kimmich. The defender cut in and headed the ball in with a dangerous run. It was Kimmich's fifth goal of the season.
In the second half, not long after Javi Martinez hit the post, Bayern conceded a goal in the 64th minute. Anthony Modeste charged in bravely, jumped high to receive a cross from his teammate and lifted the ball into Manuel Neuer's net.
Ancelotti then brought on Thomas Muller. The midfielder had a dangerous chance but could not beat goalkeeper Timo Horn. A few minutes later, it was Juan Bernat's turn to hit the post.
The last two times Cologne visited the Allianz Arena, they conceded four goals. This year, Bayern have failed to replicate that scoring form. Arjen Robben started for the first time this season but failed to make much of an impact despite a good start to the game.
