(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 17th, the Executive Committee of the Vinh City Party Committee held a meeting to discuss the draft political report and the draft resolution of the 23rd Party Congress. Comrade Vo Viet Thanh - member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee - chaired the meeting.

At the conference, the members of the Vinh City Party Committee basically agreed with the draft documents for the Congress. However, to improve the quality of the Congress's political report, the Executive Committee members demonstrated a high sense of responsibility in contributing suggestions on several issues, such as: the document's structure, some inappropriate wording, achievements, shortcomings, weaknesses, causes, lessons learned during the past term, and directions and tasks for the next term with more basic and general targets...

Overview of the conference.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Comrade Vo Viet Thanh commended the sense of responsibility of the Party Committee in contributing to the draft political report and the draft Resolution. He instructed the Document Subcommittee and the working group assisting the Document Subcommittee of the 23rd Vinh City Party Congress to incorporate the feedback, revise and finalize the political report, and shorten the report from 60 pages to 36 or 39 pages.

The City Party Secretary requested that members of the City Party Committee enhance their sense of responsibility in directing the Party Congresses of subordinate Party branches and committees. They should prepare well for the Congresses, ensuring continuity and prioritizing young cadres and female cadres with good capabilities, qualifications, and qualities to meet the tasks of the new era. Before the Congresses, grassroots Party organizations need to do a good job of political and ideological education, focusing on resolving pressing issues among the people. They should promote the patriotic emulation movement and strive to complete the 2015 state plan. They should also accelerate the progress of projects celebrating the Party Congresses at all levels. The city aims to have 100% of grassroots Party organizations under the City Party Committee's management complete their Congresses for the 2015-2020 term by mid-June 2015. The Vinh City Party Committee will hold its 23rd Congress in July.
