Nghe An Border Guard helps border residents overcome consequences of floods
(Baonghean.vn) - Before the impact of storm No. 3, the mountainous border posts of Nghe An Border Guard have arranged working groups to go to the areas, coordinating with local forces to help people overcome the consequences of floods.
At Lien Huong village, Tam Quang commune, Tuong Duong district, officers and soldiers of Tam Quang station came to help Vi Van Phan's family move their belongings and evacuate to a safe place. It is still raining heavily, officers and soldiers of the unit maintain permanent working groups in villages along the rivers and streams to propagate people not to go to the river to collect wood or fish.

In Thong Thu commune, Que Phong district, according to initial reports, floods have affected 18 households in Muong Phu village, the most serious of which was Mr. Luong Hoa's family in Muong Phu village whose 3-room house was completely collapsed, National Highway 48 was flooded; many areas of crops were affected.
In order to support the people, Thong Thu Border Guard Station has dispatched forces to coordinate with the locality and families affected by floods to move their assets to a safe place. Currently, the unit is arranging forces to coordinate guarding at dangerous points, at risk of landslides, preventing people from traveling, collecting firewood, and fishing; fully preparing means and human resources to be ready to participate in responding to incidents when they occur.

In Nam Can commune, Ky Son district, heavy rain also occurred, rising stream water caused flooding and landslides on some traffic roads in the commune; especially trees drifting along the water affected people's traffic.
Faced with that situation, Nam Can Border Guard Station has assigned local coordination forces to be on duty in dangerous areas to warn people not to collect wood for firewood or fish near rivers and streams. At the same time, they have cleared away trees that affect people's traffic.
