Provincial Border Guard Command: Launching a high-intensity campaign to combat human trafficking.
(Baonghean.vn) - On August 13, 2014, the Border Guard Command of Nghe An province implemented Plan No. 672/KH-BCH on launching a high-intensity campaign to combat human trafficking crimes in border areas.
Accordingly, the plan's objective is for units along the province's two border defense lines to strengthen intelligence gathering measures, improve the quality and effectiveness of basic operational work to identify sources and establish special cases for combating human trafficking. It also involves coordinating with functional forces and local authorities to effectively manage security and order; manage civil registration, household registration, temporary residence registration, and exchange information related to human trafficking crimes to minimize the conditions for criminal activity.
Strengthen the organization of patrols and strict control of borders and sea areas, focusing on border gates, trails, and shortcuts to promptly detect and prevent human trafficking activities right at the border. Coordinate closely with the police force to exchange information, conduct operational plans, and establish special cases to prevent and dismantle inter-provincial human trafficking rings, aiming to complete the border-inland security operation.
Coordinate with departments, agencies, social organizations, and local authorities at all levels to strengthen propaganda and mobilization efforts to create a strong shift in awareness and actions among the people in border areas, raising vigilance and actively participating in preventing and combating human trafficking. Improve international cooperation with the border protection forces of Laos in adjacent villages and relevant localities. Enhance the effectiveness of coordinated arrests, extradition of criminals, evidence gathering, and victim rescue.
