3-year-old baby dies after drinking breast milk contaminated by snake bite

According toIndia Times, a 3-year-old girl in India died from drinking poisoned milk after her mother was bitten by a snake while she was sleeping. The womanShe did not realize she was bitten by a snake and breastfed her baby as soon as she woke up.
"Both mother and child were rushed to the emergency room in Uttar Pradesh state on May 24 but died before reaching the hospital,"AFPquoted police inspector Vijay Singh as saying.
The family found the snake in another room in the house but did not have time to catch it.An autopsy will be performed but police have confirmed the deaths were accidental.
