3 year old child dies after nap at school

On the afternoon of December 10, the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Tho Xuan district (Thanh Hoa) said that they are coordinating with the authorities to clarify the cause of the unusual death of a 3-year-old boy at Tho Xuan town Kindergarten.

At around 2pm that same day, the homeroom teacher of the 3-year-old class at the school woke up the students to prepare for the afternoon class but was shocked to find that the boy named Le was not moving. The school immediately reported the incident to the local authorities and the family took Le to the hospital but the child had already died.

The Tho Xuan District Department of Education and Training directed the preschool to check and monitor all students in the school to see if there were any unusual signs related to food at school, but all remaining students were stable and were picked up by their families to go home after school.

The school leaders and the homeroom teacher reported that the same morning when the parents brought Le to school, they sent a bag of medicine and told the homeroom teacher that if Le had a high fever, she should give him a fever reducer. However, during the time at school, because the child did not have a fever, the teacher did not give him any medicine.

The package of drugs is currently sealed by the police to clarify the cause. After the authorities completed the autopsy, the body was handed over to the family for funeral arrangements.
