6-month-old baby in critical condition after heater fell on him
The boy's grandmother placed the heater next to her sleeping grandson so he wouldn't get cold and then left the room.

The accident happened at the home of the boy Ding Junjie in Xiao County, Anhui Province, China.
Relatives said that while putting her grandson to bed, it was so cold that Junjie's grandmother placed a heater next to him to keep him warm. She then left the room to do some housework. When she returned to check on her grandson, she was shocked to see smoke and the smell of burning.
Junjie's mother, Meng Dandan, 34, said the heater fell on her six-month-old son, causing severe burns to his face, hands and arms.
"She just turned away for a moment. However, when she discovered it, the boy's whole body was engulfed in flames," Meng said.
According toMirrorJunjie was taken by his family to the emergency room of a hospital in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Currently, Junjie's condition is very critical.
The family said the boy’s last hope of survival was to travel to Shanghai for extensive skin grafting. They planned to bring him there as soon as possible. Out of sympathy for the family, neighbours raised some money to help cover the costs.
