The family said the boy was playing skateboarding when his pants and penis suddenly got stuck in the gap between the board. While the father was looking for tools to remove them, the boy was so frightened that he pulled hard, causing his penis to break off. The family kept it.The broken part was found in the ice box and the baby was taken to the emergency room and then transferred to Ho Chi Minh City that same night.
Doctors recommend,dA severed penis should be surgically reattached as soon as possible. Proper first aid and care of the severed part is extremely important. The severed part should be placed in a plastic bag and kept cold in another plastic bag containing ice. Absolutely do not put it directly on ice. The remaining part of the body needs to be bandaged with a tourniquet. In case the severed part is too close to the corner to be bandaged, it should be sterilized and then one hand should be pressed firmly on the penis, quickly transferred to a hospital facility to stop the bleeding and reconnect to save this part as soon as possible.
