9 year old boy abused by father and grandmother
A 9-year-old boy was brought to the police by his relatives to report that his biological father had beaten him, leaving him with bruises all over his body and crushed fingertips.

On July 3, Ea Ning Commune Police, Cu Kuin District, worked with Mr. Tran Van Dung (the boy's biological father) and related people to clarify signs of abuse.

The boy's aunt said that the boy was the son of her sister and Mr. Dung. However, they divorced when the boy was born. Eight months ago, the boy's mother went to work in Da Nang City and brought her son to live with his father, 300 meters away from home.

In April, when the child went to visit his maternal grandparents, the family discovered bruises all over his body, and many of his fingertips were crushed. Yesterday, his grandmother went to the market and passed by Mr. Dung's house and heard him crying a lot. When she checked the boy's body, she discovered a series of new, crisscrossing wounds, so she reported it to the police.
Working with the police, Mr. Dung admitted that he used a whip to "discipline" his child, which "caused a little injury." Two months ago, the child was naughty and climbed onto the roof of the solar panel, so his grandmother used a stick to hit his fingertips, causing them to be bruised.
"When I was angry, I hit him a bit too hard. I know I was wrong," Mr. Dung said.
