VPF's move is of course welcome, but it leaves a big gap when VPF's functions and duties are completely unable to replace the referee board or VFF to decide on the work of deputy chief Duong Van Hien, as well as the above mentioned football kings.

This is the loophole for the referee board and Mr. Duong Van Hien to "counterattack" with very tense statements in the media, so the battle between VPF and the referee board still cannot find a way out, at least until the quarter-finals of the National Cup take place this weekend.

The survival of V-League

The war at the top level clearly has no end, and will even smolder until the 8th VFF Congress ends, because then the head of the referee board, Nguyen Van Mui, will officially leave the hot seat. That is why we are worried about the V-League, the First Division, and the National Cup.

It is hard not to worry when at this time the tournaments that VPF organizes and manages on behalf of VFF are really flourishing. Even the effect of U23 Vietnam has helped V-League, First Division... really revive.

However, before we could celebrate the 2018 season, V-League had to face many big challenges, when VPF and the referee board fought each other in the media, behind the scenes...

Whether or not V-League matches are still of interest at this time seems to depend not only on the quality of the teams and the star players, but also on the referees' whistles. If only a few more matches go wrong, I'm afraid the audience will be discouraged from coming to the stadium, while at this time they approach the stadium with enthusiasm.

In fact, the story of referees blowing the wrong whistle is not new, it has always existed in V-League for many seasons, so it is not too surprising that the referees deliberately "play" again.
