Nearly 2-year-old girl bitten to death by German Shepherd in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - While playing with her sister outside the gate, N. was seriously injured by a neighbor's German Shepherd and died later.
On the afternoon of July 11, Mr. Pham Dinh Chuong - Head of Nghi Dien Commune Police, Nghi Loc District said: Yesterday afternoon, in the commune, a girl died from being bitten by a dog.
According to Mr. Chuong, at 6:00 p.m. on July 10, Phan Thi Yen N. (born in 2017), residing in Hamlet 3, Nghi Dien Commune, was playing with her 10-year-old sister in front of her house when she was suddenly bitten by a neighbor's German Shepherd.
When discovering the incident, people nearby quickly chased away the dog to save the child.
N was promptly taken to Nghi Loc District General Hospital for emergency treatment in critical condition. Specifically, he was bitten by a dog with many deep wounds in the rib area, perforating his intestines and severely damaging his chest.
Due to the severity of the injury, Nghi Loc District General Hospital transferred the child to the Provincial Friendship General Hospital that same night. However, N. did not survive and died at 11 p.m. the same night.
After the incident, Nghi Dien Commune Police temporarily detained the German Shepherd that bit N. The Commune Police also filed a case and handed over the case to Nghi Loc District Police for handling according to their authority.
