Closing Ceremony of the 2013 Nam Dan Women's Open Volleyball Tournament
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of February 24, 2013 (the 15th day of the first lunar month), the final match between the women's volleyball teams of Kim Lien and Nam Cat communes took place at the King Mai tomb area in Van Dien commune, Nam Dan district, marking the closing ceremony of the 2013 Nam Dan Open Women's Volleyball Tournament.
After three days of exciting competition, the 2013 Nam Dan Women's Volleyball Open, held to commemorate the 1300th anniversary of the Hoan Chau Uprising and the King Mai Temple Festival, selected two outstanding teams, Kim Lien and Nam Cat communes, to compete in the final. From early morning, hundreds of spectators gathered to watch and cheer, filling the competition area to capacity. Many spectators had to climb the nearby mountainside to witness the match. After three dramatic sets, the Kim Lien commune women's volleyball team defeated the Nam Cat team 3-0, winning first place.

Mr. Thai Van Nong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Nam Dan District, presented the first prize to the women's volleyball team of Kim Lien commune.
The BTC awarded first prize to the Kim Lien commune women's volleyball team, second prize to Nam Cat commune, third prize to Nam Linh and Van Dien, and consolation prizes to the teams from Khanh Son, Nam Trung, Nam Nghia, and Nam Thai.
According to the organizers, this year's tournament saw a fairly even distribution of athletes, especially with the participation of promising young athletes from high schools and junior high schools in Nam Dan district. The tournament created a healthy and joyful playground and left a positive impression on the people and visitors from near and far who came to the King Mai Temple Festival in 2013.
