The first Nghe An Television Cup Tennis Tournament has concluded.
(Baonghean.vn) -After three days of competition involving more than 250 athletes from 35 local tennis clubs in the province, the first Nghe An Television Cup Tennis Tournament concluded successfully on the morning of August 25th after 55 matches.
Comrades Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and representatives from several provincial departments and sponsoring units attended the event.
The first Tennis Tournament featured nine categories: Public Administration Leaders, Men's Doubles (Category A and B) for Public Administration, Men's Doubles for Leaders over 40 and under 40 for Enterprises, Men's Doubles for Amateurs (over 40 and under 40), Women's Doubles, and Men's Doubles (Super Category).
Following the men's doubles finals for the under-40 age group, the audience watched the grand final between Nguyen Duy Chung - Le Trong Tai (Truong Son Club) and Phan Hoang Anh - Nguyen Anh Hoang (BIDV Nghe An Branch Club). After 7 sets, the BIDV pair led 5-2, but from the 8th set onwards, with their composure and experience, the Truong Son Club pair regained their form, winning 3 consecutive sets to tie 5-5. The pairs then exchanged blows, tied 6-6 in the 12th set, but it was in the 13th set that the Truong Son Club pair secured the victory and claimed the grand final.

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded over 80 first, second, and third prizes across 9 competition categories, with a total prize value exceeding 80 million VND. The first prize in the men's doubles category for administrative and public service leaders went to athletes Huynh Thanh Dien and Nguyen The Cuong; the first prizes in categories A and B for administrative and public service were awarded to athletes Le Trong Linh and Dao Xuan Minh from Military Region 4, and the pair Le Duc Dung and Nguyen Van Nhat from Vocational College No. 4 of the Ministry of National Defense. The first prize in the men's doubles category for leaders over 40 years old went to Pham Thanh Long and Van Sy Hung from Truong Son Club, and the first prize in the amateur category went to Tran Ngoc Chau and Dau Bac Son from Truong Son Club. The first prize in the men's doubles category for those under 40 years old in the business sector went to Dinh Hung and Anh Tuan from Thai Hoa Town Club, and the first prize in the amateur category went to Duc Thanh and Van Hanh from Truong Son Club. The first prize in the women's doubles category went to Vo Thi Huyen Trang and Le Thi Thu Ha from the Petroleum Club.
Beyond promoting physical fitness, the most significant impact of this tennis tournament was the mobilization of nearly 30 organizations to participate in the "Supporting Students to School" campaign, helping poor students in remote and border areas before the new school year with over 246 million VND in cash, 3 boarding houses for students, 2 boarding school kitchens worth over 450 million VND, more than 15,000 notebooks, and many other school supplies.
