Closing of the 11th Central Conference after 6 working days

After 6 days of urgent and serious work, the 11th Conference of the 12th Party Central Committee completed all the contents of the proposed program and closed this afternoon (October 12) in Hanoi.

Central Committee members and delegates attending the conference upheld their sense of responsibility, discussed democratically and frankly, contributed many intellectual and enthusiastic opinions to the reports and completed many other important tasks.

The Politburo has fully absorbed and explained issues on which there are still different opinions; the Central Executive Committee unanimously approved the Conference Resolution.

In his closing speech at the conference, on behalf of the Politburo, General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong summarized the main results of the conference and emphasized a number of issues to unify leadership and direction for implementation in the coming time for the contents considered and discussed at the conference on: Draft documents submitted to the 13th National Party Congress; socio-economic situation, state budget for 2019-2020;...

Affirming that the conference was a great success. The success of this conference will contribute to the successful conclusion of 2019 (in a more difficult context than 2018) to enter into the implementation of the goals and tasks set for 2020 with high determination and new spirit, General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong emphasized that 2020 is the final year of implementing the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress, the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2016-2020, the 10-year socio-economic development strategy; the year of organizing party congresses at all levels towards the 13th National Party Congress.

The world, regional and domestic situation continues to evolve rapidly, complicatedly and unpredictably with great changes, creating many opportunities and advantages but also posing many difficulties and challenges at a level, scale and nature very different from before, requiring our entire Party, people and army to make great efforts, strive and be very determined to successfully complete the goals and tasks of 2020 and the 12th term.

General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong asked the Central Committee members, delegates attending the conference and compatriots, comrades and soldiers nationwide to join hands, promote the results and achievements in 2019 and the tradition of solidarity and patriotism of our nation, well implement the Party's resolutions and the Resolution of this Central Conference, create new momentum and new impetus for the successful completion of the goals and tasks set out by the 12th National Congress; at the same time, actively prepare and successfully conduct Party Congresses at all levels and the 13th National Congress of the Party./.
