Closing Ceremony of the 2022 Self-Made Training Equipment Competition

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 17th, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, in coordination with vocational training institutions in the province, organized the closing ceremony and award presentation for the 2022 Self-Made Training Equipment Competition.

Attending the closing ceremony were: Mr. Bui Dinh Long – Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Doan Hong Vu – Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; representatives from various departments, agencies, and vocational education institutions in the province.

This year's competition featured 47 devices from 133 authors representing 13 institutions. Several institutions submitted a large number of entries, including the Vietnam-Korea Industrial Technical College with 15 devices, the Vietnam-Germany College with 7 devices, and the North Nghe An Technical and Vocational College with 5 devices. The authors and groups of authors who submitted the devices are all highly skilled lecturers and teachers with extensive experience in creating their own teaching aids.

Compared to previous competitions, this year's competition showed positive improvements in quality, focusing on Industry 4.0, and offering a diverse range of categories, from simple models to advanced technical devices with complex programming, concentrating on the following trades: welding technology, electronics and refrigeration, automotive technology, and industrial electricity. Most of the participating devices demonstrated high creativity and the ability to apply scientific and technological advancements in the research, design, and production of training equipment. A notable feature was that most of the entries used readily available materials, were aesthetically pleasing and economical; and showcased professionalism in design, diversity in lesson content, and meticulous attention to detail in the explanatory materials.

The competition provides an opportunity for the organizing committee to identify and contribute to the dissemination of innovative experiences and effective design models in the training activities of vocational education institutions in the province. At the same time, it also serves as an opportunity to strengthen promotional and communication activities to attract the attention of the entire society to the field of vocational education.

Based on the results of the competition, the Organizing Committee will select high-quality equipment with development potential to participate in the 7th National Self-Made Training Equipment Competition in Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

After five days of diligent work with objectivity and honesty, the Organizing Committee and the Judging Panel recommended that the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee award Certificates of Merit to 3 collectives with outstanding achievements in the competition; commend 4 groups of authors or authors whose equipment won first prize; 4 groups of authors or authors who won second prize; and 8 groups of authors or authors who won third prize.
