The 2018 Lotus Village Festival is held to express the respect, admiration and gratitude of the people of the province to President Ho Chi Minh - National Liberation Hero, outstanding cultural celebrity.

The festival takes place over 4 days, from May 16 to 19, 2018, with many diverse activities concentrated in Nam Dan district such as: Film screenings on the topic of Uncle Ho; Youth Camp; Photo exhibition on the topic of the Party and Uncle Ho; Kite flying competition; Lotus Village Singing Festival; Lotus Village Beauty Contest...

After 4 days of organization, the festival was a great success. The ceremony of this year's Sen Village Festival was solemnly organized. The opening ceremony of the Festival left a good impression, evoking many emotions in the hearts of the people and visitors towards the beloved President Ho Chi Minh.

The 2018 Lotus Village Singing Festival was held in Uncle Ho's hometown in the Kim Lien relic site, with the participation of more than 500 actors, artists, and musicians from districts, cities, and towns. The programs of the units participating in this year's festival were invested in elaborate, grandiose, and high-quality staging. The organizing committee awarded 15 A prizes, 15 B prizes, and 15 C prizes to outstanding performances; and the first collective prize to the Vinh City and Que Phong District Mass Art Troupe.

This year, the Organizing Committee of the festival continues to show films about Uncle Ho to serve the people in the communes of Nam Dan district. Films about the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh revive the memories and feelings of Uncle Ho for the country and homeland, as well as the homeland for him; through this, it reminds and encourages every cadre, party member and people to continue to study and follow his ideology, style and morality.

Regarding the content of the propaganda and agitation car competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 01 A prize, 2 B prizes and 5 C prizes to the agitation cars of districts, cities and towns. Nam Dan district won the first prize in this content.

Regarding the beauty contest of the Lotus Village Festival, this is the first year that the Organizing Committee has applied the regulations on organizing beauty contests according to Decree 79 of the Government. After 4 rounds of competition, the Organizing Committee has awarded 3 secondary prizes, 2 second prizes and awarded the title of Lotus Village Beauty 2018 to the contestant from Thai Hoa Town./.
