Closing ceremony of the 4th Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival 2018

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Le Minh Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee; Le Dinh Son - Secretary of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee; Dang Quoc Vinh - Vice Chairman of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee, representatives of departments and branches of the two provinces.

During the closing night, 7 excellent performances were performed representing melodies and performance forms selected from 73 performances of 24 Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk song clubs participating in the festival.

At the closing ceremony, People's Artist Pham Tien Dung - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An province - Head of the jury affirmed that this was a successful festival. The clubs followed the rules and regulations to build a reasonable program, ensuring content, duration, genre and form of expression, many performances were invested in elaborate staging, creativity and high artistry.

It is worth noting that in addition to the artists who have already established their names, at this Festival there appeared a number of talented young faces, a number of young voices singing sweet folk songs, fluently performing Vi and Giam folk melodies.

In particular, at the 4th Nghe Tinh Vi Giam Folk Song Festival, many new elements appeared in composing lyrics and performing; the excellent artists have promoted their role and responsibility in preserving and promoting the heritage value. The Festival, thereby avoiding duplication of performances between teams.

However, the festival still has some points that need to be overcome such as: Choosing performances that are not suitable for the age of the actors; overusing offensive comedy elements; some performances still have errors in costumes; some works have illogical lyrics...

At the end of the festival, the Organizing Committee awarded A prizes to 15 performances, B prizes to 15 performances, and C prizes to 15 performances. The two excellent clubs that won First Prize were Nghi Long Commune Club - Nghi Loc (Nghe An) and Ky Loi Commune - Ky Anh Town (Ha Tinh).

The 4 clubs that won second prize include: Dong Thanh, Thanh Van (Nghe An), Son Hoa, Duc Giang (Ha Tinh).

6 clubs won third prizes: Ngoc Son, Nghia Dong, Tan Ky (Nghe An), Nam Hong, Tien Dien, Thach Tan, Thach Bang (Ha Tinh). 12 clubs won consolation prizes.

In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to two outstanding young performers: Nguyen Khanh Ha - Cam Nhuong Commune Club (Cam Xuyen - Ha Tinh) and Pham Nguyen Mai Uyen - Quang Phong Ward Club (Thai Hoa Town - Nghe An).
