Closing Ceremony of the Folk Performing Arts Festival of Ethnic Minorities in Nghe An Province

On the afternoon of October 25th, in Vinh City, the Provincial Ethnic Affairs Committee held the closing ceremony of the 2024 Nghe An Province Folk Performing Arts Festival of Ethnic Minorities.

Attending the closing ceremony were Mr. Vi Van Son - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Ethnic Affairs Committee; representatives of leaders from provincial departments, agencies, and units; leaders of districts and cities with large ethnic minority populations; and more than 250 artisans and performers from the folk art troupes of 11 ethnic minority and mountainous districts and towns.

After a day of lively events,Art FestivalThe 2024 folk performance of ethnic minorities in Nghe An province was a great success. According to the judges, the participating folk art troupes from various units successfully exploited the strengths of their local and ethnic cultural features, folk songs, dances, and new compositions; they invested in and developed their programs seriously, with a suitable basic structure and many high-quality performances.

The participating groups invested not only in choreography, staging, costumes, props, music arrangement, and orchestration, but also in their actors, singers, dancers, and musicians. It can be said that the most outstanding amateur performers from the districts participated in this festival. Many programs and performances were quite successful, creating unique "highlights" and leaving unforgettable impressions on the audience.

All programs were conducted in accordance with the regulations set forth by the Organizing Committee. The overall theme of the programs was praise for President Ho Chi Minh, the Communist Party of Vietnam, the homeland, and the country... In particular, they focused on highlighting the unique characteristics of the participants.ethnic minoritiesand the unique characteristics of the mountainous region of Nghe An. There are performances that are cheerful and spirited, as well as acts that explore themes in a subtle and profound way, bringing a wide range of emotions to the audience.

It is noteworthy that the participating groups paid great attention to incorporating folk songs and dances, performances that reflect the unique characteristics of each region, into their programs. This not only created a distinctive style but also contributed to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values ​​in contemporary life.

Through their performances, the artists, actors, and musicians of all the amateur art troupes clearly demonstrated their passion and love for amateur arts.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to the Que Phong District Folk Art Troupe; the Second Prize to the Tan Ky and Con Cuong Troupes; and the Third Prize to the Quy Hop, Quy Chau, and Ky Son Troupes. Additionally, awards were given to 22 outstanding performances (5 A prizes, 7 B prizes, and 10 C prizes).
