Closing and awarding ceremony of the 2021 Nghe An Province Excellent Propaganda Reporter Contest

On the evening of October 29, in Vinh city, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department held the closing ceremony and awarded prizes to the 2021 Excellent Reporter and Propagandist Competition.

Attending the closing ceremony were comrades: Van Tien Bang - Head of the Reporter Department, Information Center for Propaganda Work, Central Propaganda Department; Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest; comrades Deputy Heads of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; representatives of the leaders of the Party Committees of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Political School. On the side of the contest host, there was Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Hien - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Council of Vinh University.

Participating in the contest were 27 candidates who had won high prizes in district-level and equivalent competitions, selected and trained by the Party Committee to participate in the provincial-level competition.

Candidates must go through 2 parts of the exam: Presenting the registered topic and answering questions from the Board of Judges.

According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, the outlines were basically prepared seriously by the candidates, demonstrating a high sense of responsibility, with a clear and scientific layout, stating the necessity and importance of the issue; focusing on the core of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels, focusing on propagating the main goals, solutions, and new points in the Resolution.

Many outlines choose impressive problem-posing methods, demonstrating a close combination of theory and practice. The outline content clearly analyzes the topic, ensures requirements, is accurate in information, is topical, deeply connected to local and unit realities, orients ideology, and builds trust for listeners.

This shows that candidates invest a lot of time and research, collecting documents to prepare the exam outline.

Some candidates boldly chose difficult and highly topical topics such as: Human resource development according to the viewpoint of the 13th National Party Congress; Aspiration for developing a prosperous and happy country - Highlights of the 13th National Party Congress; Socialist-oriented market economy, the role of economic sectors according to the viewpoint of the 13th National Party Congress; Identifying and proactively fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints on the socialist-oriented market economy.

Especially in the presentation part, the candidates were calm and confident when presenting, fully conveyed the content, mastered the knowledge, had practical connections; the presentation method had many innovations, appropriate illustrative evidence, timely updated materials deepened and enriched the presentation, created concentration, convinced the listeners, and met the set purpose and requirements.

In addition, 100% of candidates used technological devices and equipment to support their presentations, and were quite proficient in using presentation methods such as problem-solving; combining speaking and presentation; using easy-to-understand, clear language that attracted listeners; and ensuring the correct presentation time.

In the question and answer section of the Board of Examiners, most of the candidates answered the questions correctly and within the allotted time.

At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to contestant Tran Thi Thanh Huyen (Provincial Police); the Second Prize was awarded to contestants: Hoang Van Hai (Cua Lo town unit) and Dang Van Hai (Nghe An Department of Education and Training under the Provincial Party Committee of Agencies). The Organizing Committee awarded 6 Third Prizes and consolation prizes to contestants.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the contest, comrade Tran Quoc Khanh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Deputy Head of the Provincial Contest Organizing Committee emphasized: After 2 days of working with a spirit of urgency, seriousness, science and high responsibility, the 2021 Nghe An Provincial Contest of Excellent Reporters and Propagandists was a great success.

From the results of the contest, he requested Party committees at all levels to continue to innovate and improve the quality and effectiveness of oral propaganda work, especially in organizing the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress and the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term, in order to create new momentum and new climaxes to soon bring the Party's resolutions into life.

After the contest, the Organizing Committee will select the two best contestants to represent Nghe An province to participate in the Contest of Excellent Reporters and Propagandists in the North Central and Central Highlands regions.
