Beirut will face the same fate as Gaza if Hezbollah enters the war
(Baonghean.vn) - Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant commented that the actions of Hezbollah fighters in the border area with Israel are currently beyond small provocations.

According to Russia's TASS news agency, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant recently said that Lebanon's capital Beirut could fall into chaos similar to Gaza if Hezbollah drags Lebanon into war with Israel.
"Here I say to the Lebanese people: I can already see the people of Gaza moving along the coastline and heading south with white flags. Hezbollah is dragging Lebanon into a place where it can start a war and it is making a mistake. If it makes this mistake, all Lebanese citizens will pay the price first. What we are doing in Gaza, we can also do in Beirut," the Israeli defense minister said.
He asserted that the actions of Hezbollah fighters on the border with Israel now go beyond minor provocations. According to Mr. Gallant, Israeli forces are delivering a “qualitative response” that has resulted in losses in Hezbollah’s ranks.
“No one can provoke us, that would be a fatal mistake. We are on high alert, ready to repel any attack and ready for any development of events,” he affirmed.
The situation in the Middle East has escalated sharply following the attack by Hamas militants from the Gaza Strip on Israel on October 7, which resulted in the killing of residents of Israeli settlements near the border and the taking of more than 200 hostages, including children, women and the elderly. Hamas sees the attack as a response to Israel's actions against the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Jerusalem's Temple Mount. Israel has declared a complete siege of the Gaza Strip and has begun carrying out attacks on that area as well as parts of Lebanon and Syria. Clashes are also taking place in the West Bank.
