(Baonghean.vn) - Although this patient said he had not come into contact with anyone even though he was in Nghe An for more than a day, to be sure, the health agency is conducting another epidemiological investigation.

On the afternoon of April 24, answering the press, Doctor Pham Ngoc Thach - Director of the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases confirmed that "case 137" tested positive again after being declared cured for more than half a month. The patient has now been brought back to this hospital for further isolation and treatment.

This patient returned from Germany, entering Noi Bai on March 15. After being taken to a centralized quarantine, the test sample showed positive for Covid-19. On April 7, he was one of many patients announced to have recovered from the disease and continued to stay in the hospital for 14 days of quarantine. On April 22, he was discharged after 6 negative tests.

Meanwhile, the Nghe An Province Center for Disease Control has also completed disinfection and sterilization at the patient's house in Hamlet 5, Cong Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh. According to the epidemiological investigation, he said he had never been in contact with anyone even though he had returned to Nghe An for more than a day.

After being discharged from the hospital, the 36-year-old man said he took a taxi home. In the car, he wore two masks and sat diagonally across from the driver to maintain a distance. On the way home, he stopped to exchange money at a gold shop in Tam Diep City, Ninh Binh Province (the exact location is unknown) and stopped to eat pho at an unknown restaurant in Minh Thanh Village, Tan Dan Commune, Tinh Gia District (Thanh Hoa) around 7:30 p.m. on April 22.

"This man said that before returning home, he called his wife to prepare food and left the key in front of the house, then his wife and children went to stay at a relative's house. He lived alone for more than a day in Nghe An," said Dr. Chu Trong Trang - Deputy Director of CDC Nghe An, who stayed up all night in Cong Thanh commune.

However, to be sure, the health authorities are continuing to conduct another epidemiological investigation. Currently, the wife, children and relatives of this patient are being quarantined at home.
