The patient who was sent home for funeral suddenly came back to life
A 20-year-old man in India was declared dead by doctors, but on the way home in an ambulance, he suddenly started moving his arms and legs.
Mohammad Furqan was taken to the hospital in critical condition after an accident on June 21. His family spent all their savings to pay for the hospital bills in the hope of saving their son. Doctors later declared him dead, so his family decided to take his body home to prepare for the funeral.
On the way home in the ambulance, his family noticed that Mohammad was moving his limbs. They immediately took him to another hospital, where doctors confirmed that he was still alive.
"I had paid more than $10,000 to the private hospital earlier and when we told them we had run out of money, they declared Mohammad dead," the patient's brother said.
Doctors at the hospital said the patient is still in critical condition but is definitely not dead. The young man still has a pulse, blood pressure can be measured and he has reflexes.
The incident has attracted media attention in India. Authorities are investigating the matter.
