Patient left hospital in the middle of the night and was hit and killed by a train

(Baonghean)-At about 3:00 a.m. on December 13, on the North-South railway, through hamlet 14, Nghi Kim commune, Vinh city, an accident occurred, killing one person.

According to initial information, the train was running from Hanoi to Vinh City, when it reached the above location, a man suddenly crossed the railway. Due to the distance being too close, the train driver could not handle it in time, so the train crashed into the victim, causing him to die on the spot.

The victim was identified as Mr. Tran Van Khoa (born 1972, residing in Quy Chau district). Mr. Khoa is a patient being treated at the Department of Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery at Nghe An 115 Hospital.

Doctors at Hospital 115 said that patient Khoa was brought to the hospital by his family at 5:00 p.m. on December 12 in an unconscious state, with swelling and bruising on his face due to a fall.

At around 0:30 a.m. on December 13, patient Khoa left the hospital without anyone knowing. When his family and hospital staff went to look for him, they received news that patient Khoa had been hit and killed by a train.
