Nghe An General Friendship Hospital presents gifts to relatives of Gac Ma martyrs

(Baonghen.vn) - On April 27 and 28, the Board of Directors of Nghe An General Hospital visited and presented gifts to the families of martyrs who fought on Gac Ma Island (Truong Sa archipelago) in 1988 in Nghe An.

With the contribution of the hospital's medical staff, 8 gifts, each worth 10 million VND, total value 80 million VND were given to 8 families of martyrs. BSCKII. Nguyen Danh Linh, Director of the Hospital emphasized: "The above amount is the heart of all employees of the Hospital donated to the movement "For Beloved Truong Sa", together with the families of martyrs who sacrificed their blood and bones for the cause of protecting the territorial integrity of the nation".

BSCKII. Nguyen Danh Linh visited the health of VNAH mother Hoang Thi Thin and martyr Cao Dinh Luong's mother (Trung Thanh, Yen Thanh).

Receiving the support money, the martyrs' relatives were surprised and deeply moved by the gesture of the staff, as well as the thoughtfulness and dedication of Nghe An General Hospital when they directly visited each family and gave gifts.

Representatives of the Hospital's staff visited and presented gifts to the family of Martyr Nguyen Tat Nam (Thuong Son, Do Luong).

Ms. Phan Thi Luong, sister-in-law of martyr Dau Xuan Tu (Nghi Yen, Nghi Loc) shared: “My husband's family has 3 sons, Mr. Tu is the second son, sacrificed when he was only 24 years old, not married. The eldest uncle has also passed away, the family only has my husband, the youngest son, alone. He is 97 years old this year, she is 87 years old, both are old and weak. In recent years, with the attention of the government, businesses, and the press, a house of gratitude has been built for them. Being visited, cared for, and supported by Nghe An General Hospital to take care of the health of the martyr's parents when their illness becomes serious, there is nothing more reassuring and heartwarming.”

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Huong and representatives of the Hospital Trade Union presented gifts worth 10 million VND to the family of Martyr Dau Xuan Tu (Nghi Yen, Nghi Loc).

With the spirit of “When drinking water, remember its source”, the program of visiting and giving gifts to relatives of martyrs who sacrificed their lives on Gac Ma Island of the Hospital is a practical gratitude activity to celebrate the 41st anniversary of National Reunification Day April 30, 1975 - 2016.
