Nghe An Eye Hospital examined 500 patients with Glaucoma

(Baonghean.vn) - For 2 days (March 12-13), Nghe An Eye Hospital organized free eye examinations for people at risk of glaucoma.

Glaucoma (also known as "Migraine" in folklore) is a group of diseases in which there is a gradual death of retinal ganglion cells characterized by visible damage to visual function and optic nerve head discoloration and indentation.

Eye examination for patients at risk for glaucoma

Characteristics of visual damage, optic nerve endings are irreversible or in other words, unlike glaucoma patients, once vision is lost, the patient will be permanently blind.

Faced with the potential risk of the disease in the community, Nghe An Eye Hospital screened 500 patients at risk of glaucoma and provided free medication to 65 patients undergoing glaucoma treatment.
