Nghe An Social Insurance donates health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances
(Baonghean.vn) - The leaders of Nghe An province's Social Insurance Department requested civil servants, public employees and workers in the industry to make efforts to build the style and image of friendly and responsible insurance officers. One of the good ways is to participate in contributing and supporting the donation of health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances.

That was the message stated at the ceremony to celebrate the 22nd anniversary of the establishment of the Social Insurance sector; launch the emulation movement of "friendly and responsible" social insurance officials and organize donations to support health insurance cards for people in difficult circumstances on the morning of February 16.

Donating and supporting health insurance cards for the poor is a measure to increase health insurance coverage, contributing to limiting the situation of borrowing cards among people... In the first year of organizing health insurance card donation (2016), Nghe An Provincial Social Insurance donated nearly 120 million VND. On January 13, 2017, the Provincial Social Insurance presented 1,200 health insurance cards to near-poor Catholic households in communes in Quynh Luu district.
In 2017, the provincial Social Insurance continues to call for the spirit of mutual love, each civil servant, public employee and worker in the industry to support at least one health insurance card for people in difficult circumstances. Thereby, helping people in difficult circumstances reduce the costs of medical examination and treatment when being treated at medical facilities. Donation activities are organized simultaneously at 22 provincial and district Social Insurance agencies.
For near-poor households, in addition to the 70% support policy of the Central Government, this year, Nghe An province allocated the budget to support 15% of the card purchase price. According to current statistics, in Nghe An province there are about 58,200 poor households and 80,464 near-poor households along with thousands of families in difficult circumstances who need the sharing and help of the whole community.

Also at the ceremony, employees of Nghe An Social Insurance reviewed the industry's traditions, looked back at the achievements and limitations that need to be overcome, and expressed their determination to strive to fulfill the responsibilities assigned by the Party, State and people; determined to have more in-depth activities in implementing Directive 05-CT/TW and Resolution of the 12th Party Central Committee's 4th session./.
On February 16, 1995, Decree No. 19/CP of the Government on the establishment of Vietnam Social Security was issued, marking the birth of the system of social security agencies from the central to local levels. For 22 years (since its establishment), Nghe An Social Insurance has promptly and properly resolved policies for employees and social insurance and health insurance participants; gradually expanded the scope of subjects, rapidly increased the number of social insurance and health insurance participants... With many achievements, Nghe An Social Insurance was honored to receive the Third Class Labor Medal twice (in 2002 and 2007) and the Second Class Labor Medal from the President, as well as many other noble awards from the Government, Vietnam Social Insurance and Nghe An province. |
