Previously, in August 2014, Ngan Thi Dua went to a relative's house in Tan Lap village, Thanh Son commune, Thanh Chuong district to play and met Lo Thi Q. and Nguyen Thi Thanh Th (under 16 years old). Dua invited the two girls to go to China to work and they agreed.

Dua called Ngan Thi Oanh (born in 1984, residing in Huoi Xen village, Yen Na commune, Tuong Duong district, Dua's older sister) to discuss the above matter. Ngan Thi Oanh contacted Vi Thi Hoai Thanh and was told that each person sent to China to marry would be paid 80 million VND, Oanh would receive a salary of 20 million VND/person.

After that, Oanh called Dua to say that she had found someone to take Th. and Q. to China and Dua would receive a salary of 10 million VND/person. Dua took Th. and Q. to Vinh bus station (Vinh city) and handed them over to Thanh, then all three took a bus to Mong Cai city, using the illegal route to China.

There, Thanh sold Th. and Q. to two Chinese men to marry for a total of 80,000 yuan (equivalent to 240 million Vietnamese Dong). Q asked Thanh to send 80 million VND to his parents, and Th. asked Thanh to deposit the money in the bank to get it later.

Thanh took all the money back to Vietnam. On the way back, he was arrested by Chinese police, all the money was confiscated, detained for a while and then released. Knowing that Thanh was returning, Dua continuously came to ask for his wages and was paid 13 million VND by Thanh.
