Arrested for beating police after alcohol test
When the patrol team asked them to stop their motorbikes to measure their alcohol levels with the results showing violations, the two motorcyclists beat the police, so they were restrained and arrested and then had to enter criminal proceedings for the crime of "Resisting a person on official duty".
Information from the Investigation Police Agency of Ninh Hai District Police (Ninh Thuan) said that it has served the decision to prosecute the accused and executed the detention order for the crime of "Resisting law enforcement officers" for Pham Van Son (born in 1974) and Bui Xinh Trung (born in 1987, both residing in Phuong Cuu 3 village, Phuong Hai commune, Ninh Hai district, Ninh Thuan province).
Previously, on the afternoon of November 24, 2024, while the working group of Ninh Hai District Police was performing the task of patrolling and controlling traffic order and safety on Truong Chinh Street, Khanh Hiep Quarter, Khanh Hai Town, Ninh Hai District, they discovered Pham Van Son driving a motorbike with license plate 85V2-1374 carrying Bui Xinh Trung with unusual signs, so they asked to stop the vehicle for an administrative check.
When tested for alcohol concentration with the result of 0.505 mg/1 breath, the working group drew up an administrative violation report, but unexpectedly Son and Trung rushed in and used their hands and feet to punch and beat Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Van Quang and Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Trong Ninh.
Immediately afterwards, the two subjects who resisted law enforcement officers were restrained, arrested, and taken to Khanh Hai Town Police Station to make a record of the crime. After being detained, Son and Trung were prosecuted and detained for the above-mentioned crime as approved by the Ninh Hai District People's Procuracy.
