Prosecution of the subject who punched the police officer in the face when being ticketed

On November 14, Lai Chau Provincial Police said that the Investigation Police Agency of Nam Nhun District Police had initiated a case, prosecuted the accused and issued a temporary detention order for 1 accused for the act of "Resisting a person on official duty".

Specifically, on November 11, the patrol team, Traffic Police Team, Nam Nhun District Police on duty on Le Thai To Street, Nam Nhun Town discovered a young man driving a motorbike in violation.

The offender could not produce a driver's license. The patrol team asked the offender to get out of the car to work, but he did not comply.

Although the task force and the people present there persistently explained the violation, this person did not cooperate in working and instead used his phone to record and broadcast live on social media with insulting words to the task force, fabricating and providing false information.

The task force invited witnesses; drew up a record of administrative violations and proceeded to enforce and temporarily impound the vehicle. However, the subject continued to disobey and punched a police officer in the face.

Faced with the reckless, thuggish behavior of the subject, who disregarded the law, the task force controlled and arrested him and brought him to the Nam Nhun District Police headquarters to prepare a case for processing.

At the police station, the suspect gave his name as Mua A De (32 years old), residing in Noong Kieng village, Nam Nhun town. De admitted to violating the Road Traffic Law and expressed remorse for using his phone to broadcast live on social media, posting false information, insulting and offending the authorities, and using force to assault a police officer.

The case is being processed according to regulations.
