Arrested for letting Pitbull dog bite neighbor
Tran Dinh Thao, 46 years old, lost a fight with his neighbor so he went home and let his Pitbull out to bite him in revenge.
On the afternoon of September 22, suspect Thao was arrested by Son Tra District Police (Da Nang) for the crime ofIntentional injury.
Authorities determined that suspect Thao released a dog to bite Dang Van Ngoc, 36 years old, a neighbor living in Tho Quang ward, Son Tra district, causing 29% injury.
According to the investigation, on May 29, Mr. Ngoc and Truong Anh Tam (39 years old) were drinking at his house. Mr. Tam knew that Ngoc and Thao had a conflict, so he called Thao to talk. Mr. Thao and Tam then got into a fight.
Feeling defeated when two against one, Mr. Thao ran home to grab a shovel and fight back, but Mr. Tam grabbed it and hit him in the head and left eye, causing injuries. Mr. Thao went home and let out a Pitbull about 70 cm tall and weighing 40 kg and a German Shepherd about 60 cm tall and weighing 30 kg, then herded them to Mr. Ngoc's house.
The Pitbull attacked and bit Mr. Ngoc, causing injuries to his face, arms and legs. After being shouted to stop, suspect Thao led the dog away.
Authorities said the investigation was prolonged because police needed to determine whether the pet was the "weapon" used by the owner to commit the crime.
According to an investigator, in this case, Mr. Thao knew that Pitbull was a ferocious dog that could cause serious injury, but he still let it go and bite others. The determination that Mr. Thao used Pitbull as a "dangerous weapon" was agreed by the Procuracy.
The police also prosecuted Ngoc and Tam for the crime.Intentional injurybecause he beat Mr. Thao, causing 14% injury, and was the reason why this person was angry about releasing the dog.
