Female vice principal killed by falling tree branch in school yard

While sitting on a bench in the schoolyard, Ms. H. was suddenly hit in the head by a falling rosewood branch.

On June 18, a leader of Doan Thuong commune (Gia Loc, Hai Duong) said that an incident had just occurred in which a female vice principal of Doan Thuong secondary school was hit in the head by a falling tree branch and died.

Previously, at around 6:00 a.m. on June 16, Ms. D.TH (43 years old, Vice Principal of Doan Thuong Secondary School) took her 2-year-old daughter to the yard of Doan Thuong Primary School to feed her.

While sitting on a stone bench under the shade of a rosewood tree, a large rosewood branch suddenly fell on her, causing Ms. H. to faint on the spot.

When the student arrived at school and discovered the incident, he informed the victim's family and took him to the hospital for emergency treatment, but due to severe injuries, the victim died.

It is known that Ms. H. has been married for many years, but due to infertility, she only gave birth to a daughter more than 2 years ago. Ms. H.'s husband works as a security guard at an elementary school. Because the house is next to the school, in the morning of the incident, Ms. H. took her child to school for breakfast, then got into an accident.

On the morning of June 18, the family held a memorial service and burial for the victim according to local traditional customs.
