Stabbed to death for teasing a girl
(Baonghean.vn) - After the girl was beaten with a chain for being teased, Bao and some others went to find her to "take revenge" but were stabbed to death by the young man who was driving the girl.
On November 23, the People's Court of Nghe An province opened a first-instance criminal trial of defendant Hoang Dinh Nghia (born in 1993, residing in Long Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, Nghe An province) for the crime of "Murder". The victim in this case is Thai Huu Bao.

On the evening of July 29, Bao drove Ho Dinh Doan from Khanh Thanh commune to Yen Thanh town. On the way, he met Hoang Dinh Nghia driving Nguyen Thi Huong. Doan teased and used vulgar words towards Huong.
When the two cars stopped because of the traffic jam, Ms. Huong asked Doan what he meant by that, but Doan continued to use vulgar language, so Ms. Huong hit him with the cable used to chain the dog. While Ms. Huong chased Doan, Nghia and Bao argued with each other. After that, they got back in the car and continued driving.
Thai Huu Bao told his cousin about the incident and went with a group of young men to find Nghia to beat him. Being beaten and chased, Nghia pulled out a knife and stabbed Bao in the chest and back, causing his death.
After committing the crime, Hoang Dinh Nghia turned himself in to the police. In 2016, Nghia was sentenced to 10 months in prison by the Yen Thanh District People's Court for "Theft of property".
Considering the aggravating and mitigating circumstances, the People's Court sentenced Hoang Dinh Nghia to 17 years in prison and ordered him to compensate the victim 262 million VND (including 70 million VND previously compensated).
