On May 27, 2016, the Discipline Inspection Committee of Son Tay Provincial Party Committee announced the expulsion from the Party and dismissal of Thuong Quan Vinh Thanh, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Quoc Tin Group, for serious disciplinary violations.

According to the press, during the National Assembly session, Mr. Vuong Nho Lam, Secretary of the Son Tay Provincial Party Committee, spoke about three corruption cases in the locality, including the case of a secretary and chairman of the province's financial unit who lived an extremely lavish life, regularly drank fresh milk flown in from South Korea, and spent 390 million yuan (1,365 billion VND) on public funds to buy an official plane.

That official was Shangguan Yongqing. After she was investigated, 70 boxes of souvenir coins were found and confiscated from her private home, including 50 yuan commemorative coins commemorating the 50th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and 100 yuan dragon coins.

Another corrupt female official, “LV Queen” Jiang Runli, Deputy Secretary General of the Fushun City Committee, Liaoning, had a 190-square-meter room dedicated to storing luxury items. When investigators searched for Li’s assets, they found 48 expensive wristwatches such as Rolex…253 LV handbags, 1,246 designer dresses and more than 600 pieces of jewelry. Jiang Runli paid the price for having those luxury items: in 2009, she was sentenced to life in prison.

The “spending splurge” of corrupt female officials does not stop at spending. On December 28, 2013, the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection reported that Han Yingxin, the permanent deputy mayor of Shulan City (Jilin), was expelled from the Party and removed from office.

Officially announced information said that Tan was called “The city leader who likes to demolish the most beautiful houses in history” because of famous statements such as: “I don’t know the Law on Demolition and Relocation, no need to follow the law”, “I have the Shangfang Sword! You can sue freely, I’m not afraid!”.

According to investigators, Binh mainly advanced in two ways: first, by giving bribes; second, by using her body, sleeping with greedy and lustful superiors.

During her detention, she continued to use that method: in September 1999, while being detained at Han Tho District Prison, Binh used her charm to defeat Van Giang, the Deputy Director of the prison. Giang gave Binh his phone to use four times and personally delivered letters to help Binh make connections and provide information, seriously disrupting the investigation and solving the case.

The love affair of Luo Yaping, the director of the Land Resources Bureau of Fushun, once shocked everyone. After having sex with a subordinate 10 years her junior, she gave this “pilot” 1 million yuan to give to his wife, to avoid causing a fuss. She also “targeted” a superior. One day after work, she went straight to the office of the person she liked and said bluntly: “Come with me tonight, you will get rich”.
