Tips to protect your skin on hot sunny days
Hot weather increases the impact of ultraviolet rays and ultra-fine dust - the number one enemies of the skin.
The Earth's atmosphere blocks most of the ultraviolet radiation (UV) in sunlight, and only a small portion of the ultraviolet radiation can reach the skin. Although not much, their "damage" is still significant. Areas of skin exposed to the sun too much without protection will suffer many negative effects in both the short and long term: the skin is burned, dry, dark, collagen and connective tissue under the skin are damaged, causing the skin to lose elasticity, accelerating the aging process and most dangerously, causing skin cancer. Research shows that 90% of skin cancer is caused by ultraviolet radiation.

In addition to ultraviolet radiation, the intense heat also makes dust spread more heavily. In Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City for many months now, poor air quality, high levels of dust, especially ultra-fine dust particles, are common problems that make the skin constantly "cry for help". Ultra-fine dust PM 2.5 is dust particles with a diameter of 2.5 micrometers or smaller, likened to "invisible killers", cannot be observed with the naked eye and can penetrate deep into the body's cells. The impact of ultra-fine dust on the skin is not only limited to aesthetics but also threatens the health of the skin, because they easily penetrate and clog pores. From there, the skin becomes more sensitive to bacterial invasion, skin functions are also impaired, the skin ages faster, often experiencing itchy skin, red rash, acne, loss of moisture, and many dark brown spots.

The simplest way to protect your skin is to limit going out during rush hour if not necessary, when there are many means of transport increasing the amount of polluting emissions, and also when ultraviolet radiation is strongest (10-16 hours). If you have to participate in traffic, pay attention to checking the ultraviolet radiation index (UV Index) before going, wear clothes that protect your skin (preferably dark-colored clothes, with small gaps between fabric fibers). In particular, always use sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30 or higher, note that you need to reapply sunscreen every 2 hours outdoors.
Unlike ultraviolet radiation, ultra-fine dust is harder to avoid because it can exist in every corner of the air, indoors and "invades" pores. Regular face washing or bathing cannot deeply clean cells and tissues. Therefore, if you do not use a suitable shower gel that can remove dirt from pores, ultra-fine dust particles will still stubbornly "entrench" on the skin despite careful protection when going out as well as bathing every day. Shower gel products of natural origin with benign, friendly ingredients and the function of purifying dirt accumulated deep under the skin will simultaneously perform two tasks: both helping the skin to be clean and clear, and restoring the smooth skin that you have always had.
