So who will take on this important job during US President Donald Trump's visit?

It is known that currently, the advisory team, helping to solve Asian issues of President Donald Trump, has up to more than 200 people, and is working day and night to draft and prepare for Mr. Trump's long visit to Asia, especially including attending the APEC Conference in Da Nang and an official visit to Vietnam.

Senior advisors to US President Trump, including National Security Advisor HR McMaster, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, have been in constant communication with Mr. Trump over the past few days about every detail of the trip.

The White House’s Asia advisory group also includes many Vietnamese-Americans, including the famous female advisor Elizabeth Phu. The White House has not yet revealed who will be in charge of the important interpreting role for President Trump during his visit to Vietnam.

Remember, in 2016, during President Obama's visit to Vietnam, Mr. Pham accompanied the US president in meetings with President Tran Dai Quang, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

At the National Convention Center on the afternoon of May 24, 2016, Mr. Pham was speechless when translating two lines of Kieu "That a hundred years from now/This little bit of trust is recorded" to end his speech on Vietnam - US relations before young Vietnamese people and intellectuals. President Obama's speech is considered to go down in the history of Vietnam - US relations as a speech that will last forever.

During his time as an interpreter for Mr. Obama in his homeland, Mr. Pham said that "this was the most wonderful mission of my life"./.
