Being defamed on Facebook, hired gangsters to "deal with" the opponent
After being slandered on Facebook, Lien asked Trong to hire two gangsters for 8 million VND to beat up Ms. Nguyet. However, these people instead kidnapped Ms. Nguyet and robbed her.
On September 13, the Investigation Police Agency of Bac Lieu City Police (Bac Lieu) announced that it had just issued a decision to prosecute a case of robbery and illegal detention, and urgently arrested 4 people to investigate and clarify the case.

Four people were detained, including Huynh Thi Cam Lien (33 years old, residing in Nam Can hamlet, Lai Hoa commune, Vinh Chau town, Soc Trang), Lam Tran Bao Trong (19 years old, residing in Phuoc Hoa hamlet, Phu An Hoa commune, Chau Thanh district, Ben Tre), Tran Hoang Thuc (18 years old, residing in Nam Can hamlet, Lai Hoa commune, Vinh Chau town) and Nguyen Thi Phuong Anh (16 years old, residing in Thoi Dong hamlet, Dong Thanh commune, Chau Thanh district, Hau Giang).
According to the initial investigation of the Bac Lieu City Police Department, at around 6:30 p.m. on August 27, the police received a complaint from Ms. Huynh Thi Nguyet (31 years old, living in Nam Can hamlet, Lai Hoa commune, Vinh Chau town) about being controlled by a group of people using switchblades and syringes, taken to a car and robbed of her property.
Through investigation, the police determined that Huynh Thi Cam Lien was slandered by Nguyet on Facebook, so at around 10:00 a.m. on August 26, Lien called Trong to hire 2 people for 8 million VND to go to Bac Lieu to beat Nguyet.
Trong agreed and contacted Hung (Hung Luan, address unknown) and Le Thi Ngoc Nuong (29 years old, Trong's wife) to rent a 7-seat car with license plate 51A - 77.034 from Ho Chi Minh City to take Tran Hoang Thuc and Nguyen Thi Phuong Anh to Bac Lieu City to find Ms. Nguyet.

At around 9am on August 27, when arriving in Bac Lieu City, Lien gave Thuc 500,000 VND to buy a roll of tape and a pair of pliers. Hung used a syringe to inject a type of soft drink that looked like blood to scare Nguyet. At around 12:40pm on the same day, Lien and his accomplices went to the row of rented houses in Group 8, Ward 5, Bac Lieu City, where Nguyet was staying. Upon arriving, Hung used a syringe to control and push Nguyet into the car. Hung and Trong used tape to cover Nguyet's eyes, mouth, and tied her hands and feet and drove the car towards Soc Trang.
When they reached a deserted road, Lien used pliers to cut the bracelet, took off 2 rings, 1 necklace, took 1 cell phone and searched Ms. Nguyet's pockets for 1.5 million VND. Then, Thuc pushed Ms. Nguyet out of the car; the suspects quickly fled to Ho Chi Minh City.
On September 4, the Bac Lieu City Police Department issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and temporarily detain Lien, Thuc, Trong and Phuong Anh to investigate and clarify the acts of robbery and illegal detention. Only Nuong and Hung have escaped.
Police identified Lien as the mastermind and ringleader, and are expanding the investigation and hunting for related subjects./.
