A prisoner died after being hit by an industrial fan.

On September 22, information from Yen Lam commune, Yen Dinh district, Thanh Hoa province said that a work accident occurred in the commune, causing a prisoner to die after an industrial fan fell on him.

On September 21, prisoner PTM (born in 1987, from Hanoi) serving his sentence at Division No. 1, Prison No. 5, Ministry of Public Security, located in Yen Dinh district, was transferred to work in the stone processing workshop of Phu Thang Joint Stock Company.

At about 10:30 a.m. the same day, because it was hot, prisoner M adjusted the industrial fan to cool down his workplace.

However, due to carelessness, the fan was not placed securely and fell on prisoner PTM.

The fan blade slashed the victim many times, causing serious injuries. The victim was taken to the emergency room but due to the severity of his injuries, he died that same afternoon.

After the incident, the authorities arrived at the scene to conduct an autopsy and clarify the cause./.
